Sometimes I feel like a failure, and it’s an awful feeling. The other day I was hanging out with some friends and we were talking about struggles we were all going through.
One was experiencing problems in her marriage, another had faced a huge let down at her job, and I was going through a difficult circumstance with a friend. All of us felt defeated and like we were flawed, yet we knew that’s not how God wanted us to think or feel.
You know, it’s important for us to separate our identity from our failures. Instead of letting them make us feel defeated and discouraged, maybe what we need is to ask God to show us what we could’ve done differently. And how we can make amends for something we said or did wrong.
Let’s learn from our mistakes but never label ourselves for our mistakes.
