The other day I had a hard conversation with a friend, and her criticism stuck to my heart like Crazy Glue!
As the day went on, I felt my heart sinking into discouragement. I tried to stop thinking about our hard conversation, but I couldn’t.
For some reason, Proverbs 11:25 came to my mind where God tells us that “a generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
I knew that was it! I could overcome my discouragement by pouring encouragement into someone else. So, I texted my friend Angela and invited her to lunch the next day.
And I’m telling you, giving her my full attention, asking about her kids, and telling her what a great mom she is changed everything. I left with my heart so full!
